PA NOW Education Fund Internships

Pennsylvania NOW Education Fund is seeking to fill two volunteer (unpaid) internships. One will be located in Central Pennsylvania and the other in Western Pennsylvania. Descriptions follow:

  • Central Pennsylvania Location: Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, 16823-0068

    Description: Assist in NOW's advocacy for access to Emergency Contraception (EC). Duties may include but are not limited to research on identifying pharmacies in PA that carry EC, data collection via phone or face-to-face interviews, compiling data collected by intern and NOW members, and assisting in the creation of an interactive webpage to enable women, family, friends, counselors and organizations to search for closest pharmacy providing EC. Internship for 8 -16 flexible hours a week, possibly for credit (in coordination with your school). Good people, organizational and writing skills; Excel, Access, and Word required.

  • Western Pennsylvania Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15221

    Description: Support development and co-ordination of PA NOW's Women of Color and their
    Allies feminist conference in Pittsburgh 2008: Support may include but is
    not limited to committee development, organization liason, research,
    workshop development, event planning, media, material development.
    Internship for 8 -16 flexible hours a week, possibly for credit. Good
    people, organizational and writing skills; Word and Power Point required.
